Misbehavin
Dance The Week Away

Tap-tap-tappety-tap down to PE 207 on Tuesday, wind your way down to Ahaheim on Wednesday, or breeze over to the Bing on Friday to celebrate National Dance Week with USC dance director Margo Apostolos and her students in this year’s celebration, “Come Dance With Me.” The biannual Bing Theater showcase of USC student dancers and choreographers features a variety of styles, including jazz, ballet, tap, and modern.

Highlights to look for: a student performance of a piece by the legendary Rudy Perez, now on the dance faculty at USC, and “Misbehavin” a jazz dance set to an Eartha Kitt song by undergraduate theatre students Charl E. Brown and Melissa Strom who choreographed the piece. “Misbehavin” won the Kathy Wade Award for Best Choreography and Performance at this year’s Palm Desert Choreography Festival and was performed at the McCallum Theater on April 13. It will be reprised both in Anaheim’s Sun Theater, Wednesday, April 26th, at 10 a.m. and at USC.

The Chronicle.
